Welcome to
Zamru. The purpose of this site is to teach people how
to sing the ancient prayers of the
Kabbalists. The blessings and prayers on this site are
according to the siddurim (prayer books) of Kabbalah4All.com.
Singing is very important in Kabbalah and Judaism because
it gives prayers more power than when they are just spoken.
Our entire tradition is full of song, whether it be the
chanting of wordless melodies (called niggunim) or the
singing of the ancient blessings. This site was born
out of the desire many have expressed in learning to
sing these ancient prayers.
Many
of the melodies on this site are traditional. If they
are not traditional, then the composer's name appears
beside them in parentheses. Non-traditional melodies
are used with permission from the composer, and are
copyrighted and protected under international law.
Music from this site may be used only for the purpose
of learning, and may not be traded or sold under any
condition.
This site is a work in progress and will be added
to as time goes by. It is organized in three categories:
Shabbat, Weekday, and Festival (Holidays). Under each
section you will be able to find the prayers that correspond
to
that particular day. The prayers are listed in the order
of the siddur they are taken from.
We make this site FREE
to all for the purpose of learning inspiring melodies
to the ancient prayers of the Kabbalists. If you have
found this site helpful and inspiring, please consider
making a donation to help us continue to build and
maintain this site. Click

It is our hope that you will join us in Singing
Ancient Prayers™.
